Babysitter (Game Day)
POSITION OVERVIEW:
This seasonal babysitting position delivers exceptional childcare to children ranging in age from infant to preteen during home games.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Feed meals or snacks to children as provided by parent.
• Oversee and assist with general safety of family room environment and activities.
• Assist children with general hygiene practices, including bathroom and personal cleanliness needs (i.e. changing diapers, soiled clothing, etc.).
• Straighten and wipe down toys, surfaces, furniture, etc.
• Positively communicate with children, families, and other staff.
• Maintain a professional relationship with children, families, and staff.
• Promote yourself as a role model by presenting a professional image.
• Understand and adhere to all family room requirements and policies outlined by supervisor and Director.
• Lead and interact with children through developmentally appropriate methods, including play, music, arts/crafts, reading, writing, and physical activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 2-3 years private babysitting or professional nanny/daycare experience.
• Must be available to work a non-traditional schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be available to work all summer holidays that may fall on home game dates scheduled between June - October 2023.
• Must be outgoing and work well with others.
• Must be enthusiastic in caring for children of all ages.
• Fun loving, energetic and outgoing personality.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and comfortable interacting with parents/guardians.
• Must be able to handle labor-intensive work including but not limited to standing for majority of shift (5 hours) and lifting up to 50 pounds (lifting children).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Professional experience in education, nursing, daycare, and/or childcare.
• Bachelor's degree in education, early childhood education, human development & family studies, nursing or similar.
• Certified in infant, child, and adult CPR
• Fluency in Spanish & English.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
• Extensive background checks including fingerprinting will be required of employees working with children.

• Hourly pay rate.
