Job Responsibilities
• Assist in creation and execution of media plans in conjunction with local media buyer and MLB
• Monitor progress of advertising campaigns, adjust media and optimize plans as directed
• Create reports on media performance
• Provide recommendations and adjustments for future media plans
• Oversee implementation of advertising strategies and tactics across various media forms (video, audio, print, digital, etc.)
• Create and coordinate master advertising TV and radio production schedules
• Coordinate phillies.com ad trafficking and select e-mail correspondence
• Create, organize and control all traffic management processes for Phillies broadcast outlets (in-game and out-of-game placement) and Citizens Bank Park displays (IPTV, etc.)
• Produce, schedule and coordinate all live announcer copy for TV and radio broadcasts
• Serve as advertising project manager and integrate needs for various departments (ticket sales, sponsorship, community outreach, etc.) into overall implementation
• Oversee, organize and prioritize creative requests and work with graphic designer to ensure timely deliverables
• Assist in ideation and production of TV and radio commercials
• Collaborate with various external agencies on select projects (video producers/editors, designers, etc.)
• Manage yearly advertising budget
• Monitor and report budget variances and adjust accordingly
• Compile digital and TV ratings monthly and historical reports
• Assist department with various marketing initiatives
• Research and development of advertising strategies
• Assist in evaluations and contract negotiations with third party vendors/consultants including creative, production, media buyers, etc.
Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree in marketing, communications, journalism, advertising or equivalent-related work or educational experience
• 2 years' experience in advertising, account management and/or media preferred
• Agency and/or media buying experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, etc.) a plus
• A thorough understanding of advertising and media planning with an emphasis on implementation
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal, writing and proofreading skills
• A demonstrated ability to effectively manage and prioritize projects under strict deadlines
• Basic accounting skills
• Must be available for a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays (non-standard business hours)
• Must possess a valid driver's license
