Intern - Theatrical Marketing

This is a Part Time Paid Internship

The Pekoe Group is a full-service boutique theatrical marketing and advertising company that specializes in creating 360-degree marketing plans designed to speak to each client's individual needs and target audience.

We are currently looking for a marketing intern to join our team this fall. The ideal candidate must have a passion for theatre, must be very detailed-oriented with excellent organizational, communication (both written and oral), and interpersonal skills. Must also possess the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. Must have administrative and/or sales experience. Previous internship experience within the industry preferred. Potential candidates must be living in NYC for at least 6 months prior to the start of the internship.

Duties will include:

Maintaining lists and contacts

Assisting with mailings and grassroots outreach

Cold calling various organizations for promotions

Conducting general research and creating/updating spreadsheets

Supporting full-time staff in various projects

General office duties, including answering phones and running errands

Creating Facebook and Twitter accounts for all clients and updating with relevant content daily

Maintaining The Pekoe Group's Facebook and Twitter pages

Maintaining Facebook and Twitter posts for various clients

Reaching out to bloggers, online organizations, podcasts and online newspapers for promotions

Researching new social media platforms and exploring how they can benefit each client

Must be available a minimum of 3 days per week.
