Evening Porter - The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory
THE JOB
The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory is seeking an Evening Porter to help keep our backstage areas show-ready and ensure an exceptional artist experience. This role is responsible for a wide range of duties related to cleaning, maintenance, and equipment support, all performed in accordance with safety standards and preventive maintenance practices to support the venue's operational goals.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming venue at all times, including (but not limited to) cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, fixtures, floors, mirrors, doors, and walls.
• Ensure all artist-facing areas remain clean and free of trash.
• Restock restroom paper goods and hygiene supplies as needed.
• Keep work areas neat and orderly; clean equipment and assist with additional cleaning tasks as assigned.
• Perform emergency and unscheduled repairs on production equipment during events, as well as scheduled maintenance during service periods.
• Demonstrate CARE by actively participating in the venue's sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction, recycling, and resource conservation efforts.
• Perform basic machinist duties as required.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
• Identify faulty operations or defective materials and report issues or unusual conditions to appropriate supervision.
• Follow all safety regulations and maintain clean, organized workspaces.
• Perform additional duties as assigned or needed.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• High school diploma or GED required; completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent combination of education and production maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50+ lbs., and occasional sitting.
