Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a motivated, enthusiastic Entertainment Apprentice to join our entertainment marketing team in our Los Angeles (Playa Vista) office. Our Apprentice's primary focus areas will be administrative support for our TV, Film, Music and Talent teams.
Responsibilities:
TV/Film
Learn how TMA defines product placement, integration, film promotion and how these tools connect to audiences and passion points
Able to provide support across many aspects of the day-to-day business for TV and Film
Participation in team meetings and brainstorms
Reading trades and identifying relevant trends in the business
Scanning, clipping and reporting results and entering into our database
Maintain industry contacts in database
Ownership of TV pilot grid of broadcast, cable and OTT shows in development across Netflix, Amazon, Hulu and some YouTube MCN's
Updating a film landscape for possible promotional partnerships, for multiple brands
Support Film Feature release grid
Write script breakdowns and identify which of our brands that might work
Learn about a variety of ways to communicate internally, with clients, with on set contacts and with studio/network entities (being introduced to the many languages of our business including marketing/brand, creative and production)
Opportunity to experience a set visit and see how product placement works
Talent:
Support the team by conducting research projects on celebrities, athletes, influencers, models, etc for various client/campaign needs
Compile and organize historical data for internal database
Music:
Help maintain a sharable database of important industry information such as album/single releases, tours, contacts, sponsorship opportunities, and case studies
Account support on State Farm and Visa music strategies/projects - potentially activation, content, music composition and supervision projects
Opportunity to participate in meetings with music industry partners such as record companies, publishers, managers, promoters, agents, and music platforms; attend industry events and shows
Assist in developing new business opportunities including research and creative concepting
Assist partnerships manager in ongoing industry research and compiling weekly newsletter with news and trends
Qualifications:
Must be available to work Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
Must be completing or have completed a degree in a related field
Must be passionate about pop culture and entertainment (TV, Film, Digital Properties, Music, writers, directors, producers and talent) and want to learn the many ways brands use entertainment to connect with different audiences.
Specifically learn about our brands (objectives, wins, audience, campaigns, etc)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
Can multi-task with a close attention to detail
A fun and charismatic personality which can work with different types of people (on-set, industry events, talent, at the client level and internally)
Agile and adaptable to changing priorities
Proficient at an intermediate level with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Previous Internship experiences a plus
