Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst
Department: Finance & Accounting
Reports to: VP/Controller
Position Summary: This position is a key analytic support role for the Finance & Accounting department and will be responsible for providing and analyzing requested financial information, including multi-year projections for possible scenarios. The Senior Financial Analyst will also help departments understand financial information and strategize accordingly.

• Level of detail used when completing responsibilities
• Use of general accounting principles; able to make accurate accounting transaction related decisions and ask questions when not sure of the appropriate accounting treatment
• Use of the computer as it pertains to his/her job duties

• Use of analytical and problem-solving skills
• Openness of communication with supervisor and the accounting staff, as well as with other departments
• Acting as a team player
• Showing initiative
Essential Functions (Duties & Responsibilities**):
• Support the organizations overall budgeting and forecasting processes across all cycles
• Assist in maintaining short- and long-term financial models for all three Lakers entities, developing supporting 'what-if analyses' and other scenario planning
• Work closely with department heads and key managers to develop and update financial budgeting
• Provide regular comparative reporting of actual to budget and forecast
• Analyze key performance financial metrics
• Prepare periodic reports for executive management and ownership
• Prepare monthly cash projections and working capital analysis on a monthly basis.
• Update NBA Combined Financial Statement projections quarterly
• Calculate projected business interruption losses used in determining business interruption insurance coverage
• BRI Audit:
• True up prior year BRI numbers
• Reconcile prior year BRI to audited financials
• Assist in preparing BRI and CFS report annually
• Prepare City of Los Angeles Business Tax Return annually
• Assist with special projects and other tasks, as needed and assigned
**Responsibilities subject to change based on organizational needs and direction from management.
Education and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (i.e. finance or accounting) is required
• CPA license (preferred)
• Must possess flexibility to work extended hours due to business requirements including, weekends
Previous experience:
• Minimum of three years of combined experience in corporate finance, accounting, or other financial analytics roles (required);
• Previous experience in sports and entertainment industry (preferred)
Technology Capabilities:
• Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel)
• Working knowledge and mastery of modern ERP and BI systems
• Previous knowledge of Oracle Cloud systems, SAP Concur and standard banking platforms

• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in an efficient manner
• Ability to work cross-functionally
• Detail-oriented with capability of scrutinizing complex situations refining into understandable parts
