The Karpel Group, a NYC-based entertainment marketing and publicity company, is seeking a part-time intern for Spring 2020 [Jan - May] to assist in coordinating niche marketing and publicity campaigns for major entertainment industry clients.
Interns will work directly with account executives on LGBTQ press & marketing for music, film, television & DVD titles as well as mainstream home entertainment publicity campaigns.
Duties include: drafting social content, researching/compiling/updating press and SMI lists, assisting with marketing and PR mailings, attending and staffing movie screenings and helping with any day-to-day office responsibilities.
Must be a strong, resourceful writer who takes initiative and is conversant in pop culture. Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail is a necessity.
Concentration in communications/media/PR/marketing or entertainment-related fields helpful -- knowledge of and interest in pop culture/entertainment a MUST, especially music, film and TV. Familiarity with LGBTQ community a plus.
