HR Associate at the John Gore Organization

The John Gore Organization (subs: Broadway Across America, Broadway.com, Group Sales Box Office, The Broadway Channel) is seeking a well-organized individual to join the Human Resources team. The HR Associate will aid in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department.
Responsibilities:
• Assists managers with the recruiting experience, including maintaining internal and external job boards, placing candidates into background check, onboarding and timely e-verify submissions
• Process new hires, terminations, and any other internal changes in HRIS system
• Run weekly new hire & termination reports to determine benefit eligibility
• Key in benefit deductions for transit benefits program
• Maintain HRIS homepage including job posting announcements, employee birthdays, anniversaries & company resources
• Respond to unemployment claims & provide employment verification letters
• Retain receipts for expense reporting
• Maintain list of employment contracts and facilitate upcoming contractual requirements
• Ensure compliance across the entire organization by updating labor posters and onboarding paperwork
• Liaise with IT department on creating and terminating accounts, collecting employee key cards
• Apply and communicate company policies
• Assists with day-to-day employee & manager questions
• Supports HR team with the planning, communicating & tracking of company-wide initiatives and objectives, including open enrollment, Take Your Child to Work Day and other culture-boosting events
• Prepares periodic reports for management as requested
Computer skills:
Applicant should be experienced with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Professional. Applicant should also be familiar with browser-based software applications.
Necessary Skill Set:
• Superior organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize required work
• Previous experience working in a role that requires high level of confidentiality
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to meet strict deadlines
• Experience with data processing and analysis
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Efficient online researcher
• Computer savvy
