The Director of Marketing will be responsible for overseeing the marketing efforts of the International Songwriting Competition & Unsigned Only Music Competition. The position requires a highly motivated individual with a strong background in email marketing, sponsorships, partner relationships, social media, and database management. The Director of Marketing will be responsible for creating and executing effective marketing campaigns that drive traffic, engagement, and revenue for both competitions.
Responsibilities:
-Develop and execute email marketing campaigns to engage with the competitions' audience and drive entries.
-Manage and execute text marketing for promotions and deadlines.
-Create and manage all Facebook and Instagram ad campaigns to increase visibility, engagement and drive entries.
-Identify, begin and cultivate company sponsorship opportunities to secure prizes for each competition.
-Develop and manage relationships with partners and sponsors.
-Manage both competition websites, including CMS updates and uploads, content creation, and general maintenance.
-Develop and execute social media strategies that increase engagement, drive entries as well as traffic, and build brand awareness.
-Coordinate prize fulfillment for all competition winners, and ensure completion.
-Manage submission forms for deadlines and special promotions, ensuring that all deadlines are met and promotions are executed professionally.
Requirements (these are my assumptions for what you want):
-Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Music Business, or a related field.
-Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
-Excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with partners and sponsors.
-Highly organized, with a strong attention to detail.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Canva, and FileMaker.
-Strong writing skills, with the ability to craft compelling content for email marketing campaigns and social media posts.
-Experience with CMS platforms and database management (preferred).
-Experience in the music industry (preferred).
