- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with the video team, editorial staff, and art department to execute cohesive, visually strong social storytelling across editorial coverage, campaigns, and breaking news.
- Visual & Graphic Production: Design and produce social graphics, visual assets, and simple motion content for daily publishing, breaking news, features, promotions, and campaigns.
- Platform Execution: Support the day-to-day management of THR’s social channels, ensuring consistent publishing, timely coverage, and strong brand voice across all platforms.
- Breaking News & Trends: Monitor real-time news, entertainment trends, and social conversations to identify opportunities for timely, relevant content creation.
- Editorial Amplification: Support the promotion of THR editorial content including covers, features, interviews, videos, and major news moments to drive traffic and engagement.
- Campaign Support: Assist in executing social campaigns tied to editorial initiatives, partnerships, events, and sponsored content.
- Performance Optimization: Use social analytics and performance data to inform content decisions and improve reach, engagement, and growth.
- News Cycle Flexibility: Participate in a 24/7 news cycle, including occasional early mornings, late nights, and weekends as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of social media experience, preferably within entertainment, media, or culture-driven brands.
- Creative Skills: Strong visual sensibility and storytelling instincts, with the ability to translate journalism into engaging social-first content.
- Production Skills: Basic proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign, etc.) for graphic creation, light video editing, and asset production.
- Social Media Fluency: Strong understanding of major social platforms, trends, formats, algorithms, and best practices.
- Editorial Judgment: Strong news sense, cultural awareness, and understanding of entertainment industry coverage.
- Communication: Excellent writing, grammar, and editing skills.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work cross-functionally with editorial, video, art, and marketing teams.
Adaptability:
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and respond quickly to breaking news and trending moments.
