Full Job Description
The Hollywood Reporter is seeking an innovative and experienced Director of Video and Social Creative and Production to play a key role in shaping the creative vision and execution of our video and social content strategy. As a leader in this role, you will combine your mastery of storytelling, creative direction, and production expertise with a deep understanding of social platforms and trends to drive impactful engagement in the entertainment industry. You will report to the VP, Video Production and Development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and oversee creative direction for social media content aligned with brand vision
• Collaborate with leadership to implement strategic social plan
• Lead end-to-end video production including shooting, editing, and post-production
• Create dynamic content for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and other platforms
• Stay ahead of social and entertainment trends to inspire new content formats
• Coordinate with agencies and freelancers to extend production capacity
• Use performance metrics to refine strategy and content effectiveness
• Manage content production budgets
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years in video production and social creative
• Exceptional storytelling, pacing, and visual production skills
• Familiarity with pop culture, entertainment, and audience behaviors
• Proficiency with editing and design tools (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro)
• Strong understanding of platform-specific best practices
• Proven leadership of creative teams and external collaborators
• Excellent communication and project management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
