The Director - Diversity & Inclusion will provide thought leadership and support working with the Firm's diversity council to develop a strategic approach to Gersh's efforts. This role will identify and measure strategies that help the agency attract, develop, promote, and retain a diverse and inclusive workforce. Responsible for developing learning experiences, implementing strategies, policies, processes, and practices to advance organizational change, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment for everyone, and ensuring that diversity, equity, and inclusion considerations are incorporated into decision making processes where relevant.
Develop, implement and support policies, programs, processes, and initiatives to achieve the firm's goal of increasing the hiring, development, retention, and promotion of administrative staff and Agent trainees from traditionally under-represented groups Manage and track key metrics and develop analytics for measuring effectiveness of diversity and inclusion programs Design and implement educational awareness and training programs. In collaboration with Talent Acquisition, manage external partnerships with universities that facilitate diverse pipelining opportunities Influence and build trust-based relationships with senior leadership, management, and peers across the organization. Manage sensitive employee cases with the right level of judgement and expertise Budgeting for community engagement activities including, but not limited to, volunteering, fundraiser matching, and strategic sponsorship agreements Assist with the creation of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), providing guidance and direction and ensuring these groups have the appropriate resources and level of influence -
5+ years of experience in creating training and educational programs within diversity and inclusion initiatives Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively build partnerships and influence stakeholders and decision-making at all levels of an organization Strategic and analytical leader with an aptitude for critical thinking and a strong ability to provide insight, analysis and sound rationale for recommendations Strong background in facilitation and presentation skills Some travel between Beverly Hills and New York
