The Gersh Agency is seeking an exceptional, highly motivated, and detail-oriented Assistant to support an Agent in our Unscripted/Alternative Department. The department manages everything from unscripted programming to gameshows and beyond. We specialize in packaging TV shows by connecting talent with showrunners and producers that work behind the scenes to help create concepts of hit shows. The ideal candidate has an interest in learning about the unscripted business, will be able to juggle constantly changing priorities, handle a wide range of administrative and executive support in a high-pressure environment, and work well within a team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage a high volume of phone calls and emails from staff, clients, and client managers
• Prepare expense reports and coordinate travel (as needed)
• Maintain availability grid and send out submissions for all bookings and personal appearances
• Draft, send, and track all deal memos
• Effectively communicate and interact with high-profile clients, prospective clients, managers, and executives with the utmost professionalism
• Ability to make sound decisions efficiently and effectively using critical thinking and practical approaches
• Ad hoc duties for projects as needed
JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree required + one year desk experience in the entertainment industry, preferred
• Handle highly sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion
• Prior talent agency or desk experience preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Superior time management and multi-tasking skills
• Able to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-up
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Willingness to make a two-year commitment is strongly preferred
PAY RATE: $20/hour
