The ESI NetworkCentury City, CA
Part Time Unpaid Internship
Summer Part Time Unpaid Internship
Looking for interns to start immediately (or as soon as you can), working 2-3 days IN-PERSON at our office in Century City. This is a 3 month-long commitment
The candidate must have excellent organization skills, be good on the phone, a ''Can do!'' attitude, and excel at multitasking.
As this is a comprehensive internship program, applicants must be very dependable, detail oriented and have excellent communication skills. We are seeking a fast learner who really wants to learn what it takes to be a talent manager and/or work in the business of entertainment. Basic computer skills required; must be comfortable working on Mac computers.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is in or has just graduated university. You will get your foot in the door of the entertainment industry, getting valuable hands-on experience, and make many connections. You'll have great interactions with agents, casting directors, producers, talent, publicists and dozens of other industry professionals. There will be opportunities to go to talent showcases, screenings, and more.
As this is a boutique firm, you'll wear many hats and learn much from successful entertainment professionals. You'll also learn everything that goes into building a successful acting career. Many clients are series regulars and/or leads in feature length films from companies like Disney and Sony. You will get a window into the life of successful actors and the team behind them who make their career possible. Great for aspiring actors, agents, producers, casting directors, and of course, talent managers.
The WGA strike (and expected SAG-AFTRA strike) presents a challenging and uncertain time ahead. Because of this, we are in the midst of a company realignment to stay on top of the ongoing revolution happening in the American entertainment industry. The emergence of AI, a lack of casting calls, and Hollywood at a standstill present unique business opportunities. Interns will have a once-in-a-generation look into how a boutique firm deals with and ultimately overcomes the threats posed by all of these. Because of this, experience/understanding with AI (ChatGPT, Bard, Dall-E, Midjourney, etc.) will be especially valued by our interns as we seek to integrate AI into our daily operations to stay efficient and relevant. We are excited to bring on proactive interns eager to learn as much as possible!
WORD OF ADVICE: If you are applying for jobs/internships in Los Angeles, be prepared to respond to phone calls from unknown numbers
Unpaid. Option for school credit but not required.
HUGE bonus points if you can write an additional paragraph outlining the business opportunities that arise from AI integration as well as a few of your own ideas to achieve something like that. Via email:
