Job Overview:
As a Distribution A&R Representative, you will play a critical role in identifying and recruiting talented artists, labels, and creative teams to join our distribution platform.
You will have the freedom to work remotely, manage your schedule, and use your network and expertise to drive results.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Discovery: Proactively scout and identify independent artists, producers, and labels with high potential for growth and distribution opportunities.
Recruitment: Build strong relationships with talent and their teams, introducing them to the benefits of our distribution platform and artist services.
Pitching: Deliver compelling presentations on the company's offerings, tailored to the needs of prospective artists and labels.
Market Insight: Stay informed on music industry trends, emerging genres, and rising talent to identify opportunities for growth.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including A&R, Marketing, and Promotions, to ensure smooth onboarding and strategic rollout campaigns for signed artists.
Goal Achievement: Meet and exceed monthly targets for signed artists and labels, driving revenue for both the company and yourself.
Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for artists during the early stages of their journey with the company, fostering trust and alignment.
Qualifications:
Experience: Prior experience in A&R, music distribution, artist management, or a related field is strongly preferred.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the independent music landscape, including digital distribution platforms, social media, and streaming trends.
Network: Established connections within the music industry, including artists, producers, labels, and influencers.
Sales Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and pitching skills with a proven ability to close deals.
Passion: A genuine love for music and a keen ear for identifying marketable talent.
Independence: Self-driven and comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision.
