A&R Manager

A&R Manager
Primary Focus: Alternative Hip Hop and Pop-Rock

• Handle duties for A&R/Creative team
• Schedule studio time (production, mixing, mastering)
• Coordinate additional musicians, producers, artists, writers, etc
• Answer phones/managing phone list, returning certain calls
• Log and respond to demo submissions
• Compile music onto Playlists/Dropbox/Google Drive
• Attend A&R/creative meetings
• Assemble all copy and credits for album releases
• Assist in the building of content for talent on roster
• Correspond with producer managers, artist managers, and lawyers
• Use online tools such as Mediabase, Soundscan, and BDS to research and analyze data on signed and unsigned artists
• Learn basic A&R administration and coordination regarding delivery of mixes and masters, splits and agreements
• Coordinate artist travel with management team.
• Organize and attend shows and showcases of both signed and unsigned artists
• Other duties as assigned

Special Requirements/Preferences:

• One year of creative experience
• Previous production coordination experience preferred
• Good typing and computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong understanding of recording, production and creative side of business
• General knowledge of key industry players and familiarity with all music
