Intern - Film Distribution

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

The Cinema Guild, Inc. is a film distribution company based in Manhattan. The company distributes films to a large variety of markets, including theatrical, educational, home video and VOD. We are heavily involved in promoting our library of titles to the appropriate venues. Recent titles include Asghar Farhadi's ABOUT ELLY, Jem Cohen's COUNTING and Lisandro Alonso's JAUJA. Upcoming releases include Patrick Shen's IN PURSUIT OF SILENCE, Mehrdad Oskouei's STARLESS DREAMS and Albert Serra's THE DEATH OF LOUIS XIV.

The Cinema Guild is currently seeking smart, detail-oriented and creative interns who are interested in learning about the workings of a company such as ours and about the film industry in general. Our internship is flexible enough to accommodate a student's class schedule or part-time work. Ideally, an intern would commit to at least two full days a week for the entirety of the semester.

Duties vary from assisting in the creation and implementation of grassroots and social media marketing campaigns, promoting our library of films, discovering new venues for our titles, processing sales orders and shipping. Other possible duties include helping our filmmakers with their individual requests, research, and light clerical work as needed.

The Cinema Guild internship is an excellent opportunity to learn all aspects of the film industry, from production to distribution to licensing, and everything in between. We are seeking an intern who is passionate about film and sharing it with others.
