Social Media & Content Manager
Full-Time | 40 Hours Per Week | Initial 3-Month Contract | Travel Required | Remuneration Negotiable Based on Experience
We’re looking for a creative, highly social-media-literate Social Media & Content Manager to manage social media and content across two music artist projects.
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands what makes great social content and knows how to turn music, personality, performances, behind-the-scenes moments, and everyday activity into content people genuinely want to watch and engage with.
You’ll work closely with the artists and management while taking ownership of the day-to-day social media and content operation across both projects — from coming up with ideas and capturing content through to editing, publishing, community management, and analyzing performance.
This role will also involve travel with the artists when required to capture content around performances, shoots, promotional opportunities, and other key moments.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Manage the day-to-day social media presence across two artist projects.
• Develop and execute distinct social media and content strategies for each artist.
• Create and manage content calendars across TikTok, Instagram, Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other relevant platforms.
• Generate original content concepts and recurring social formats.
• Film and capture social-first content with the artists.
• Edit engaging short-form video content.
• Understand and implement strong hooks, pacing, storytelling, and retention techniques.
• Write captions and maintain a consistent and recognizable tone of voice for each project.
• Post, schedule, and optimize content across platforms.
• Identify relevant trends, memes, sounds, formats, and cultural moments — and understand which ones actually make sense for each artist.
• Turn studio sessions, rehearsals, performances, shoots, travel, releases, and everyday moments into compelling social content.
• Plan and execute social content around singles, music videos, performances, announcements, and other key moments.
• Work with longer-form and podcast content, identifying strong moments and repurposing them into effective short-form content.
• Travel with the artists when required to capture and create content around performances, shoots, promotional activity, and other key moments.
• Manage audience engagement and help build active online communities around both projects.
• Identify collaboration and cross-posting opportunities with creators, guests, and other relevant accounts.
• Monitor social performance across platforms.
• Understand metrics including watch time, retention, reach, shares, saves, engagement, and follower growth.
• Use analytics to determine what is working, what isn't, and what should be tested next.
• Test different concepts, hooks, edits, formats, and posting approaches to continually improve performance.
• Organize content, assets, deadlines, approvals, and publishing schedules across both projects.
• Communicate regularly with the artists and management around upcoming content needs, ideas, priorities, and results.
• Take ownership of the social media workflow while collaborating closely with the wider team.
What We’re Looking For
You should have a strong instinct for social media, content, and internet culture and genuinely enjoy figuring out why certain content works.
We’re looking for someone who:
• Has a deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram, Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
• Has strong short-form filming and editing skills.
• Understands hooks, pacing, storytelling, and audience retention.
• Has a strong creative eye and good visual instincts.
• Can consistently generate content ideas rather than waiting to be told what to make.
• Understands music, entertainment, and artist culture.
• Can recognize interesting, funny, emotional, or engaging moments that others might overlook.
• Is comfortable filming and working directly with artists.
• Understands the difference between jumping on trends and creating content that actually fits someone's identity.
• Can take a piece of long-form or podcast content and identify the moments most likely to work on social.
• Can balance creative instincts with analytics and performance data.
• Is organized and capable of managing multiple platforms and content streams simultaneously.
• Can work independently and take ownership while communicating effectively with artists and management.
• Can move quickly when an unexpected content opportunity arises.
• Is comfortable with domestic and potentially international travel as required.
• Is willing to experiment, learn, and adapt based on results.
Previous experience managing social media or creating content for musicians, creators, entertainment, podcasts, or other personality-led brands is highly regarded.
Contract, Schedule & Travel
This position will begin as an initial 3-month, full-time contract, with an expected commitment of approximately 40 hours per week.
At the end of the initial three-month period, there may be an opportunity to continue or extend the role based on performance, fit, and the ongoing needs of the projects.
This is not necessarily a traditional Monday–Friday, 9–5 position. Artist schedules, releases, performances, travel, and social media opportunities can fall outside standard working hours, so flexibility is important.
Working days may occasionally include a Saturday or Sunday, particularly around releases, performances, shoots, events, travel, or other important moments. This does not mean working seven days per week; schedules will be structured so that working days can shift when weekend availability is required.
Travel will be part of the role. The successful candidate should be comfortable traveling with the artists when required, which may include domestic and international travel depending on schedules and opportunities.
Remuneration is negotiable and will be based on experience.
Compensation will be discussed with the successful candidate based on their experience, skill set, previous work, and the level of responsibility they are able to take on within the role.

• Any other work you think demonstrates your creative and social media abilities.
Optional, but encouraged: Tell us about an artist or creator whose social content you think is particularly strong right now and briefly explain why.
We care much more about taste, creativity, initiative, and a genuine understanding of social media than receiving a perfectly formatted corporate cover letter.
