We are seeking an energetic and well-connected sales director with strong senior relationships at key media agencies and clients in NYC. The candidate must have an extensive understanding of the online media landscape and 7-10 years of successful media sales experience ideally in the in-image display advertising field.
Prospect, develop, expand, and manage key and assigned accounts to maximize revenues and increase overall business opportunities. An external sales role with client interface primarily at senior executive and management levels, focusing on the strategic nature of the relationship. The Director, Media & AdTech identifies and evaluates clients’ needs for complete advertising solutions, striving to establish the Branded Entertainment Network (BEN) as the preferred provider of entertainment content, as well as assignment and rights services. The Director, Media & AdTech calls on accounts, provides product information and/or present demonstrations of how the product/service will meet the client’s needs.
Essential job functions
• Responsible for driving revenue and new business for the in-image display advertising division
• Generation of a high volume of sales-related activity including cold calling, presentations, RFP’s
• Manage strategic client relationships including overseeing of custom proposal process
• Manage relationships with prospective partners, through the development of each opportunity to deal negotiation and on an ongoing basis
• Ensure client satisfaction on all initiatives agreed to by client
• Cultivate relationships with media agency contacts and brands
• Support SVP of Media & AdTech Sales in developing, managing, and executing strategies
• Collaborate with the publisher sales teams in the US and EMEA
• Maintains and delivers weekly status reports summarizing all sales developments
Requirements:
• 7-10 years of demonstrated success selling to major agencies and brand advertisers, ideally within the In-Image display advertising industry in NYC.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Robust rolodex of client relationships
• Excellent presentation, collaboration and consultative selling skills.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
• Work well under pressure/fast paced environment
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple ongoing projects
• Flexible and proactive self-starter
• Ability and willingness to do all tasks required, from strategic to tactical
• Experience working in an entrepreneurial or start up environment a plus
