Title: Mailroom Assistant Manager
Reports to: Mailroom Manager
Job Duties:
• Collect and distribute mail/packages.
• Log incoming Clubhouse packages and sends monthly report to MLB.
• Monthly reporting of meter funds as well as department shipping (report to accounting).
• Collect shredding for pickup.
• Order office supplies.
• Order and stock water for departments.
• Ship out merchandise domestically and internationally.
• Loads, unloads, and moves bulk mail and performs other duties related to mail processing.
• Entering data on a computer.
• Lifting heavy packages. (up to and potentially over 70 lbs.)
• Track packages.
• Stock locker rooms' paper products.
• Meter outgoing mail.
• Stock janitor closet with toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
• Pickup mail for ownership (when requested).
• Coordinate with carriers (UPS, FedEx, and USPS) for drop offs and pickups.
• Forward packages to Sarasota for Spring Training (when applicable).
• Certified mailing runs (when requested) to main post office.
• Escort vendors (when applicable).
Qualifications:
• Standard hours are Monday – Friday 8:30 am to 5 pm. Successful candidate must also be available to work some weekends during baseball season
• Must be able to lift heavy packages (up to 50 lbs.)
• Must be able to walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time
• Must have strong interpersonal skill to foster optimal relationships
• Must be well organized, detail oriented and able to handle multiple projects
• Must have a positive attitude and enthusiasm
