INTERNSHIP TITLE:
Intern, Product Development
INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION:
The Baltimore Orioles seek a Product Development intern reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Development, working alongside other members of the Marketing & Product Development team.
The season long internship is designed to focus on tasks pertaining to the product portfolio and project management. This internship will help with the development and enhancement of the team's primary products including ticketing products, promotions, immersive experiences, sweepstakes, and special offers.
DUTIES:
• Participate in developing and executing club product plans and promotions alongside the Senior Manager of Product Development.
• Assist in the planning of cross-functional meetings to help drive collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Assist in market research and work directly with the analytics team to identify market opportunities and enhance current products/promotional schedule.
• Assist with vendor management for all promotional items.
• Assist with set up and distribution of giveaways.
• Assist on game days with any product and/or marketing initiatives.
• Assist with promotional calendar materials and game prep.
• Assist on game days when necessary, including event setup and breakdown, ticket check-ins, and any other marketing events.
• Additional tasks as assigned to help achieve the overall goals of the marketing and product development department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Current student in college/university with emphasis on Business, Marketing, Public Relations, or Sports Management
• Availability to work all events and activations from March – October
• Minimum of 20 hours a week for office hours and/or event execution
• Flexibility to work during non-business hours to events and games
• An energetic, positive, and enthusiastic personality
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task, think creatively, analyze data, and problem solve
• Strong computer skills are required with proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be a team-first player who works well with others
