Publicity Assistant

Studio City, CA US
A boutique entertainment PR firm in Studio City, CA is seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic publicity assistant to support the senior publicity team with administrative tasks and PR needs in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Provide daily administrative support to the principal and other publicists, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, booking travel, and preparing expense reports.
• Distribute press releases, publicity breaks, tune-in alerts, and other publicity materials.
• Monitor media coverage and compile status reports for both internal and external distribution.
• Maintain and update media lists, contact databases, and awards calendars.
• Assist with pitching, drafting press releases, memos, and recaps as needed.
• Perform in-depth research projects as directed.
• Coordinate event details for media junkets, awards shows, screenings, and other events, handling logistical aspects such as catering, staffing, and billing. Assist on-site as needed.
• Collaborate with external vendors and clients to facilitate event details and relay contracts, billing information, and other necessary materials.
• Assist with the execution of publicity and awards campaigns.
• Coordinate staff meetings and prepare meeting agendas and notes.
• Maintain the office environment, order supplies, and ensure smooth daily operations.
• Process additional client requests in a timely and professional manner.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree
• 1+ years of Awards related experience preferred but not required.
Additional Qualifications:
• Must be based in Los Angeles and available to work a hybrid schedule in Studio City.
• Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and manage multiple projects under deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, Cision, Muck Rack, and Outlook.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, external contacts, and senior management.
• Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive materials professionally.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and professionally with outside vendors and clients.
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.
