Intern - Event Communications

JOB SUMMARY: The Communications Intern will assist with the communications efforts for REV Entertainment, the exclusive events company of the Texas Rangers, Globe Life Field, and Choctaw Stadium. This position requires a highly organized individual with a technical skillset, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
• Assist efforts to define, develop, manage, and execute communications strategies
• Develop and maintain media relations database, including maintaining media contacts
• Assist in researching and/or writing internal and external communications
• Assist with media management for special events, including day-of coordination
• Assist with the communication between REV Entertainment and other departments to facilitate workflow
• Assist with social media accounts for REV Entertainment, including Globe Life Field, Choctaw Stadium, and special event accounts
• Prepare weekly job status reports for leadership
• Work nights, weekends and minor holidays as needed
• Attend select events to collect content
• All other duties as assigned

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Detail-oriented with excellent organization skills
• Outstanding communication, copy editing and writing skills
• Public Relations/Communications background or education
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
• Motivated self-starter
• Ability to interact with all levels of staff including upper management
• Strong customer service and networking skills
• Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic
