This is a Full Time Job
The Photography Assistant will assist all aspects of the photography department for the Texas Rangers and REV Entertainment. They will serve as primary photo editor and administrator for photo requests.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
• Assist with game day needs, including but not limited to shooting corporate signage, pregame and in-game entertainment, Globe Life Field wide photos, fan photos and some action as needed
• Serve as primary photographer for Texas Rangers pregame and in-game entertainment
• Photograph events and other needs for Rangers marketing/revenue departments, Rangers Academy / Foundation, and REV Entertainment
• Fulfill internal and external photo requests
• Photograph any needs that arise in Arlington during spring training in absence of Manager, Photography
• Assist with studio shoots
• Live edit spring training games when available during work hours
• Edit various events (Rangers foundation/Academy, community, REV Entertainment) for Manager, Photography
• Edit the live transmits from the previous night prior to the start of the next Texas Rangers game.
• Caption and distribute photos to the appropriate locations in the Texas Rangers archive
• Update the Texas Rangers archives with appropriate metadata structure
• Pull photos for the Rangers Magazine
• Other duties as assigned by Manager, Photography
• All other duties as assigned
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years of photography experience with work at professional or college sports organization a plus
• experience shooting action photography at professional and/or amateur baseball games a plus
• proficiency in adobe suite and photo mechanic
• experience with studio lighting and box and PhotoShelter a plus
• good written and verbal communication skills
• ability to lift 35 pounds
• ability to work nights and weekends
