This is a Full Time Job
Position: This position provides and performs overall support for the successful preparation, implementation and execution of client TV production and network origination activity. Client activity consists of either short-term projects (one show) or a recurring, long-term contract and may include studio shoots, studio and control room productions, live broadcast integration in on-air operations, post-production and media management for internal and external clients at Hayden Studio and Technical Operations Center (“Hayden facility”), in Culver City. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of technological trends in the industry and their impact on Television, including sports production and on-air operations workflows.
Daily Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
• Manage technical and operational aspects of day-to-day production activities at the Hayden facility
• Assume a critical role in defining and scoping potential projects
• Interact with appropriate departments to ensure successful and timely execution of projects
• Act as the primary point of technical contact with internal and external clients at the Hayden facility
• Collaborate at a high level of professionalism with Operations management, Engineering personnel, Client Service staff and Tennis Channel’s Production department, to gather the necessary information that will effectuate seamless preparation, support and execution of production projects and promote efficiency.
Qualifications:
• BA degree in TV Production or Media Studies
• Minimum 4 years’ experience of utilizing systems and technologies within a television studio production and control room setting is required
• Familiarity with on-air TV master control and Transmission environments is required
• In-depth knowledge of studio production technology, equipment and post-production processes is required
• An understanding of on-air operations and signal distribution technology and experience of working with vendors
• An understanding of file-based workflows and Internet protocols, technologies and underlying systems is preferred
• Ability to demonstrate a balance between client’s needs and demands versus a project’s profitability
• Bilingual-Spanish preferred
