Tennis Channel is searching for a Crewing Manager to become part of its tennis-loving team in its new, state-of-the-art facility in Santa Monica, California. This is a groundbreaking opportunity for the right candidate to manage and develop a growing pool of talented and dedicated technicians who make the Tennis Channel a great place to work.
The Crewing Manager will source, negotiate, book, hire, and schedule crew and provide crewing related services for both Studio and Remote Field Operations (both domestic and international). This position will report to the Executive Director of Studio and Remote Operations and work closely with HR, Finance, Production and Operations.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Search, recruit, and develop a highly motivated, passionate and diverse pool of technicians regardless of race, sex, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, handicap, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by law
• Source, negotiate rates and terms, booking, and scheduling all crew (staff and freelancers) for both Studio and Remote Field Productions
• Demonstrate knowledge of technical crew positions, ENG/EFP crew positions, and crew duties for Studio and Remote TV Productions
• Create and maintaining weekly and monthly show crew templates and trackers for multiple shows produced from various control rooms
• Send out crew offer emails and keep track of offer status to final execution
• Work with Finance for onboarding new hires
• Schedule Pre and Post Editors and Preditors
• Review, correct, and approve crew sign in sheets and timecards; work with Finance to troubleshoot payroll issues
• Manage and maintain ongoing required HR employee compliance training
• Assist with the preparation of crewing materials and show books for distribution
• Assist in the deployment of a new crew digital database and scheduling tool
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a live sports broadcast environment, preferably in a crewing capacity
• Good knowledge of current crew contacts in the Los Angeles area, U.S. and international is a plus
• Very strong verbal and written communication skills, able to manage strong personalities, and act with discretion
• Must be solution based, detail-oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with weekly and monthly deadlines
• Computer literacy to include Excel, MS Word, Outlook, TEAMS; experience with Hours Plus, ProCrews/XLT, ShowMgr, Concur, is a plus
• Knowledge of current COVID-19 protocols for employment
• Experience with non-union production and guidelines in various formats
• Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• A passion and enjoyment of Tennis is a plus
