The Role
Our Content Operations Coordinator is point of contact for live event coordination, managing communications between third party providers and SBG Broadcast Station Groups for live concerts and live local events, from high school football games to the New Year's Eve Ball Drop in NYC. The Content Operations Coordinator supports the Content & Product Operations in technical QC and tracking of content. This individual reports to the Senior Manager of Content & Product Operations to facilitate technical content acquisition and delivery to the preferred end points.
This position requires an understanding of the OTT video ecosystem, and emerging digital technologies.
Responsibilities
• Manages live event schedules, programming, monitoring, and adjusting up to the minute as needed for potential weather delays, cancellation, or in-progress programming
• Effectively communicates live feed information to the STIRR Planning and Programming
• Owns the Live experience, driving potential issues to resolution in a timely fashion
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses technical issues for streaming video
• Conducts technical quality control of STIRR Content Library
• Gains comprehensive knowledge of the STIRR content library
• • Supports content ingest and partner onboarding as needed
• Other tasks as needed
Key Requirements
• A minimum of an undergraduate degree
• Experience in broadcast, digital video, or OTT space; specifically Live Broadcast media and new media industries
• Experience with partner/account management
• An understanding of how to organize and manage content ingestion
• Working knowledge of television and digital content workflows
• Experience with digital content management systems
• Flexible schedule with availability on weekdays, weeknights and weekends as needed for live local programming
• Knowledge of video and audio codecs and quality
• Proficiency in MS Office
• CMS experience a plus
• Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
• Ability to work under deadline
• Precise communication skills
• Ability to be a self-starter and take initiative
