This Assistant will provide support for the two Executive Producers of a national, daily TV newsmagazine in Burbank, CA. Ideal candidate is passionate about celebrity and pop culture news, film/television/music/sports, and social media. This position is the ideal opportunity for someone who thrives under deadline, enjoys challenges and wants to grow, and is looking for hands-on experience in all aspects of television production.

Responsibilities
• Answering phones & managing busy daily schedules
• Organizing meetings, in person & virtual
• Planning travel and booking occasional off-site meetings
• Serving as gatekeeper between Executive Producers, the staff and outside contacts
• Screening and evaluating incoming pitches
• Preparing expense reports
• Contributing to all areas of the production, from doing to research to monitoring news sites, transcribing interviews and compiling ratings reports

Qualifications
• 3+ years as an administrative assistant to a busy executive
• Polished and able to represent Executive Producers in a highly professional manner
• A passion for news, entertainment, pop culture and social media
• Self- starter, highly organized and able to multi-task under deadline
• Strong communication skills
• Detailed and accurate in their work
• Discrete and able to maintain confidentiality about sensitive matters and information
• Must be local to location (or willing to work as a local)

Pay Range: $38,000.00 - $50,000.00 salary per year ($18.27 - $24 hourly).
Start Date: June 24th
Note: Contract is for 52 weeks

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Pay Range is $38,000 - $50,000 salary per year.
