Senior Director of Digital Media

• Define the overall digital editorial vision for NBC 10, Telemundo 62, and lead content teams in executing that strategy across all platforms, including nbcphiladelphia.com, telemundo62.com, social media accounts, mobile apps, OTT streaming platforms and other developing platforms
• Lead the broadcast newsroom in publishing across all platforms, including training and coaching employees in multiplatform work and improving workflow
• Supervise, mentor, develop and manage the digital staff
• Coach, train and assist broadcast and other station employees in moving to digital work, including training anchors and reporters to effectively use social media channels to reinforce both the brand and authentically connect with users
• Participate in editorial and content meetings for news and sports and act as liaison between television and digital platforms
• Develop strategic plans for multi-platform editorial coverage of major events
• Collaborate across all station brands and in other local markets to share stories and resources across all of NBCU Local's digital platforms
• Liaise with national NBCU Local Multiplatform Leadership Team, providing regular updates of business strategies and objectives
• Monitor traffic, qualitative and engagement trends for digital and mobile platforms and share with leadership team. Set and monitor traffic and engagement goals for editorial team
• Work closely with Brand Marketing in marketing efforts for digital platforms, including paid social campaigns as needed
• Partner closely with sales. Present editorial projects, franchises and associated traffic and qualitative metrics to sales team on regular basis, providing specific advertising solution for clients. Participate in business development with sales management and account executives to provide digital sales ideas
• Partner closely with Community on local station initiatives
• Manage contracts for content partnerships and other legal issues of web site
Qualifications
• A minimum of 5 years experience in a television or digital management or operational role; including time in a news content leadership position
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Must be willing to work in Philadelphia, PA
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be able to work early morning, night and weekend hours when as necessary
