Job Purpose:
The Photographer is responsible for covering local news for NBC4/T44, participating in the newsgathering and editorial process, and handling live and taped events.

Job Duties:
• Operate camera, transmission, sound, lighting, and editing equipment for live and taped events
• Develop content using emerging technologies for NBC4 platforms
• Respond quickly to breaking news, coordinating with the assignment desk, reporters, anchors, and control room
• Work efficiently under daily deadline pressure
• Solve technical issues in the field

Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating camera, transmission, sound, and lighting equipment
• Minimum 2 years of experience in newsgathering and editing on nonlinear systems
• Ability to operate bonded cell live units and ENG/microwave trucks
• Valid driver’s license with no restrictions
• Willingness to work overnights, weekends, and holidays

Desired Skills:
• Excellent storytelling and editorial skills
• Ability to shoot, edit, and operate ENG trucks simultaneously
• Experience with satellite truck operations, microwave gear, and new technologies like bonded cell transmission and GoPro cameras
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro and Panasonic P2 workflow
• Strong understanding of IT workflows and file transfer protocols
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
