Description:
NBC and Telemundo Philadelphia are looking for a Manager of Production to lead the daily operations of the studios, control rooms, and media center. Reporting to the VP of Technology & Operations, the Manager will oversee the team, manage event planning and special programs, and ensure high standards for on-air production. This position also involves collaboration with the divisional Technology team and managing various production tools and technologies.

Responsibilities:
• Manage the operations team, including hiring, feedback, and performance management, while maintaining a culture of accountability and high performance.
• Oversee day-to-day operations in the studios, control rooms, and media center.
• Lead production efforts for FAST Channel and Digital Production.
• Collaborate with News Leadership to ensure on-air production meets editorial direction.
• Participate in remote production planning, including site surveys and vendor management.
• Implement and oversee EHS standards and maintain the station’s Disaster Recovery plan.
• Cross-train, coach, and develop production team members.
• Track operational metrics, including discrepancies, and manage staff schedules, payroll, and vacation approvals.
• Take on other responsibilities as needed, with a requirement to be on call 24/7/365.

Qualifications:
• Experience Required: Progressive responsibilities in media production, with 2+ years of supervisory experience in a live broadcast environment.
• Education: Degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience (Required).
• Strong working knowledge of studio, remote, digital, and operational environments in media production.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines in a high-pressure, breaking news environment.
• Experience building trust with stakeholders and leading production initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bilingual in English/Spanish.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical matters simply.
• Passion for learning new technologies and applying them to business challenges.
• Ability to work independently and manage projects and budgets effectively.

Workplace Requirements:
