Responsibilities
Role Summary
The HR Generalist is responsible for performing a broad range of HR and Administrative duties for a fast-paced client base within the NBC10 and Telemundo62 team. Primary responsibilities include serving as initial point of contact for employee inquiries, issues and all employee life cycle events. Ensures that department policies and procedures are in compliance with various Human Resources and labor laws.
Responsibilities
• Provides day to day support in the areas of staffing, recruitment and selection, employee relations, wage and salary administration, and employee development/orientation
• Respond to routine HR questions including, but not limited to benefits, payroll, vacation or redirect employees to appropriate contacts in a timely manner
• Partner with HR leadership to support clients with employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and practices
• Work closely with Talent Acquisition team and coordinate the Internship Program.
• Oversee LOA processes and procedures
• Become a primary user for SAP HR transactions, including onboarding and off-boarding, workflow forms, regular and ad hoc reporting, and other data validation or reporting exercises
• Assist with creation, planning and logistics of on-site employee engagement activities and events.
• Support with ad hoc team projects as needed

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required
• 3 years working within the HR function

• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees
• Strong reporting and analytical skills

• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information
• Bilingual (Spanish and English)
• Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary
• Employee Relations investigations experience preferred
• Experience with Leave of Absence and disciplinary process preferred
