Reports to: Senior Director, People Operations and Engagement
FLSA Status: Exempt
This role will collaborate with managers and staff to deliver comprehensive support across the entire employee lifecycle. This position is based at Tropicana Field in St Petersburg, FL.
Responsibilities
• Lead full-cycle recruiting for full-time employees. Administer the end-to-end hiring process including job descriptions, manage applicant tracking system, postings, interview coordination, background checks, offer letters, and pre-employment requirements.
• Maintain all personnel files, process new hires and separations, ensure compliance/accuracy in employee files, HRIS system maintenance & tracking.
• Foster a diverse, inclusive, and positive environment that aligns with organizational culture, encouraging employee engagement and retention.
• Serve as HRIS lead including owning data integrity, security role requests, business process routing, audits, and worker/position data changes. Support the maintenance and accuracy of the system and ensure proper tracking of paper records needed throughout the employee life cycle. This includes supporting seasonal roster set-up and end-of-season activities.
• Track and maintain compliance and accuracy with I-9 forms, process background checks for all new hires. Maintain systems to reflect accurate users.
• Support employee communication channels to ensure employees receive important information in a timely manner.
• Ensure complete confidentiality and security of personal employee information, including background screen info, medical info, personnel files, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Knowledge of basic payroll and personnel record keeping principles and practices; knowledge of basic federal, state and local laws and regulations.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS). ADP and ABI strongly preferred.
• Solid organizational skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks; attention to detail, strong follow-up skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate in a professional, knowledgeable, and courteous manner.
• Bilingual is a plus
• Ability to work a flexible schedule at peak times throughout the year which may include nights and weekends.
Key Experience
• Work Experience: 3–5 years in HR, with experience in employee relations, recruitment, and compliance.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in ABI, ADP Workforce Now, Outlook, Teams, and Slack encouraged.
