Full Time Job
The Tampa Bay Rays Information Technology department is looking for a proactive, detailed, attentive, self motivated, energetic team player with a positive attitude to assist with the Help Desk functions of our front office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist the Help Desk Team to deliver technological support for all Rays front office staff, scouts, trainers, and contractors.
• Assist staff over the phone and in person.
• Properly document all calls, issues and subsequent resolutions. Properly inventory equipment.
• Provide user-level software support, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office 365, Windows 10, MacOS, Android, iOS. Assist with basic software installations.
• Upgrade, repair, or replace computers, peripherals, and printers as needed.
• Rotate with IT staff to cover night and weekend games at Tropicana Field.
• Travel to remote Rays-owned offices for support, including Charlotte Sports Park in Port Charlotte and Al Lang in St. Pete. (Mileage costs are covered).
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
• Have the ability to work under pressure, prioritize effectively, manage deadlines and possess exceptional organizational skills for our rapidly changing environment.
• Have strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working.
• Have a basic knowledge of hardware and software installation.
• Be willing to learn, improve, and excel in technology.
• Beginner skills in development, programming, and/or coding are preferred.
• High school diploma required. College degree in technology, or currently finishing degree, is preferred.
COMPENSATION:
• $35,000 / year
• IT training / year
• All offers contingent on a satisfactory background check.
HOURS
• Office job - not remote.
• Normal office work hours are 8:30am - 5:30pm.
• Must be flexible with hours to cover night/weekend baseball games and other events.
