*Coordinator, Staff Development and Recruiting - Baseball Operations
At the Rays, our people are our strength. The Baseball Operations department is seeking an individual who will be committed to our mission of developing staff from the inside out. We are looking for someone with a ''service first'' mentality who can help be a driving force behind our recruiting, development and engagement efforts. This role will have influence in developing and maintaining a talent pipeline that feeds a diverse, truly inclusive and positive culture and environment. They will be able to leverage their creativity and knowledge around skill development to assist amazing people in their career progression. This role will have opportunities to create and assist with programs that elevate our engagement and employee satisfaction to the next level.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our talent pipeline through collaboration with internal partners, extensive research and external networking
• Maintain contact and update candidates and potential candidates related to application status, interview plans and future opportunities
• Help manage a list of referrals and other candidates who could represent a fit for future role
• Assist with developing job descriptions for new positions and maintain job descriptions for current positions
• Collaborate with the Rays' internal Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Council to facilitate initiatives and help achieve goals
• Aid the director in the development of materials and process for full-time employee management and development, including educating managers on effective practices
• Help our departments with intern and part-time recruiting, management, feedback, and evaluation process
• Facilitate logistics for onboarding and offboarding processes for all of our employees
• Work with director to conceptualize, formalize and execute staff engagement and development ideas
• Support the research and tracking of continuing education and developmental opportunities of our staff
• Track important dates and contract renewals for our staff
• Manage special projects for the department
