Full Time Job
The Tampa Bay Rays are creating a new role in our Baseball Research and Development Department for someone who will apply a laser focus to managing details and improving our efficiency. We are seeking candidates with a passion for process improvement and extreme organization. The new hire will care about being a good teammate, will want to make a positive impact on the organization, will have an innovative spirit and will constantly explore new ways to improve. Responsibilities
• Monitor our internal project management system (identify blocked tasks, ensure tasks are completed on time, etc)
• Work with the Director and Assistant Director to develop and implement a system for gathering and learning from data on departmental efficiency and bottlenecks
• Maintain tools/resources for R&D process QA
• Maintain a centralized task list of critical departmental functions and ensure they are completed on a regular basis
• Budget assistance/expense tracking
• Maintain internal communication lists
• Schedule departmental meetings and take notes
Qualifications
• Absurdly good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience with Microsoft Excel
• Willingness to learn software tools used by the department (SQL, R)
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Some experience with Project Management best practices is preferred but not required
