POSITION OVERVIEW
The Producing Director, Sundance Film Festival is a highly visible member of the Sundance Institute team, who is responsible for working in tandem with the Director, Sundance Film Festival, the Director of Programming, Sundance Film Festival and the Chief Executive Officer to strategise around and integrate the artistic vision of the Festival with the audience-facing and stakeholder group elements of the event. The role will also ensure racial equity in the day-to-day running of the festival and in the building of policies and plans to develop and increase the inclusivity of the Festival more broadly.
This leader will join Festival Programming meetings, and participate as a key member of the Festival leadership in strategic vision and decision-making on both the Sundance Film Festival and year-round public programs as well as digital festival extensions, partnerships and products.
As the manager of the Artist Relations, Alumni, and Industry Office groups, the Producing Director strategizes with programs across the Institute around deepening engagement and coordinating strategic messaging among alumni and industry.
The Producing Director is the key liaison to Marketing and Communications, Festival Operations, Advancement, Technology, Digital, Outreach & Inclusion and its various allied Non-Profit Organizations, and all Institute Artist Programs.
Our ideal candidate will keep abreast of trends in the arts, industry and festival space, and bring a spirit of innovation, entrepreneurialism and curiosity to the role while understanding the necessity to elevate the Institute's values and embrace accessibility and inclusion.
It is the responsibility of the Producing Director to build a high-performing and collaborative cross-functional team to ensure efficiencies, present a successful festival program, and creatively express the values of the Institute now and in the future.

• Collaborates with the Director, Sundance Film Festival, Director of Programming, Sundance Film Festival and the Chief Executive Officer to integrate the artistic vision of the Festival with the audience-facing and operational departments of the event.
• Translates vision into a strategy with actionable goals with the major stakeholders: Marketing/Communications, Technology, Ticketing, Digital, Inclusion, Advancement, Artist Programs, Engagement and Advocacy, to ensure all activities are consistent with the values, vision and mission of the Festival.
• Oversees Festival specific departments, including artist relations, alumni, and industry.
• Liaison to advancement and press.
• Drives coordination with programs across the Institute on deepening engagement and advocacy and coordinating strategic messaging.
• Always has a focus on building a highly inclusive culture, ensuring team members thrive and organizational outcomes are met.
• Analyzes internal processes and practices and identifies areas of process enhancement.
• Develops actionable business strategies and plans that ensure alignment with artistic vision, values of the Institute, and programming of short-term and long-term objectives developed in tandem with the Executive Team.
• Actively keeps abreast of trends in the arts, industry and festival space, and brings a spirit of innovation, entrepreneurialism and curiosity.
• Monitors performance with sound metrics and establishes corrective measures as needed, and prepares detailed reports, both current and forecasting.
• Maintains and builds trusted relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistency, collaboration, and unified goals.
• Hires, selects, and trains highly effective staff and provides direction, feedback, and support to ensure employees understand responsibilities, actively coached on how to grow, are effective in their roles, and delegates appropriate and meaningful work.

You have the following direct or transferable skill-sets:
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• 5 years experience in executive leadership positions.
• 10 years experience operationalizing vision within an arts nonprofit or similar industry.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, or a related field.
• Experience and demonstrated ability to flourish in a hands-on, highly collaborative, team-driven, growth environment.
• Demonstrated ability to strategize, set, and meet goals.
• A genuine passion for and excitement about Sundance Institute's not-for-profit mission, and a culture defined by collaboration, curiosity, and creativity.
• Well-developed communication and presentation skills-able to articulate a professional and strategic plan that is clear and inspiring to internal and external stakeholders.
• An engaging, open and accessible style dedicated to teamwork and transparency.
• Presence, credibility, and stature to generate respect, trust and a positive image for the organization.
• Highest levels of personal and professional integrity and ethics, and unquestioned integrity in each of his/her initiatives.
