Festival Manager Ticketing Systems - Careers At Sundance Institute
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Festival Manager, Ticketing Systems oversees and manages administration of the ticketing system and related applications, training of all software users which include the Box Office, Customer Support, Internal Ticketing, and Credentials teams.
Working closely under Ticketing Department leadership, the Festival Manager, Ticketing Systems supports Sundance Institute?s commitment to providing patrons with the best possible experience of the Festival?s many digital and in-person offerings.
This temporary position works full time from Wednesday, July 2, 2025 through Friday, February 13, 2026 and will be required to work extended hours, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet key deadlines and respond to on-call needs as assigned. This is a fully remote position that does not require any onsite work duties.
Top priorities include but are not limited to?
• Creating, updating, and maintaining ticket allocations and settings for all virtual and in-person screenings within the ticketing system.
• Supporting and training all software users of the ticketing system, including all departments in Ticketing & Customer Service, as well as across the Institute as needed.
• Providing guidance and support to fellow team members regarding ticketing system administration, including answering questions related to the system and helping to troubleshoot as needed.
• Administering needs for internal and public ticketing including discount code creation.
• Working with the Digital team to verify pass rules for package fulfillment and online pass redemption.
• Managing all ticketing system training sessions with employees and volunteers.
• Working with Festival Manager, Customer Support to create and update technical FAQs for users and customers.
• With the Associate Director, determining daily drops for social media and sending information to Marketing.
• Gathering daily attendance data to report out.
• Supporting in the planning for any changes or improvements to the Ticketing and Theater Operations Department practices that involve the use of any systems.
• Participating in user acceptance testing for all ticketing functions including pass/package sales, package fulfillment, single ticket sales, and the waitlist.
• Assisting in updating technical user training manuals for Ticketing.
• Acting as an additional resource for scanning and e-waitlist support as necessary.
• Completing a Festival wrap report and updating procedures for the next Festival.
• Eventive: working knowledge of event builds, ticket holds, and ticketing product allocations
You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• 3 years of experience working with ticketing systems and/or in systems administration, Eventive experience preferred.
• Excellent written and interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
• Strong project management and presentation skills.
• Leadership skills and the ability to work effectively as a part of a team.
• Ability to handle and resolve complex issues with a customer support mindset.
• Ability to make decisions and problem-solve.
