POSITION OVERVIEW
The Festival Team Lead, Digital Screenings are charged with operational planning and execution to ensure digital screenings during the Sundance Film Festival run according to outlined procedures and expectations. Team Leads will oversee and manage a small team to execute these screenings.
Working closely under the Festival Manager and Online Screening Lead, the Team Lead works remotely from Monday, January 10, 2022 through Sunday, January 30, 2022 with variable hours.
This temporary position works remotely from Monday, January 10, 2022 through Sunday, January 30, 2022 and will have a variable schedule. Applicants must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as Technical Leads will not have consistent hours from week to week. The position will work 8-12 hours per week leading up to the Festival and then anywhere from 14-24 total hours during the Festival (January 20-30). These hours may include evenings, early mornings, and weekends to meet shift needs. A laptop computer will be provided for the duration of the seasonal employment dates. A reliable, high-speed internet connection with at least 10 mbps download speed is required.
Top priorities include but are not limited to…
• Building plans, timelines, and run of shows across stakeholders and the screening team assigned to ensure all operational components are identified and planned for.
• Managing the assigned team's tasks and timelines to meet deadlines.
• Working closely with SFG, an external production company running screenings to ensure communication is clear and efficient to keep teams on track.
• Liaising with internal teams, including Artist Relations, Programming, Press, Industry to gather materials from panelists such as bios and film clips to prepare for screenings.
• Scheduling and leading weekly team meetings to ensure all projects are on track, discuss issues, and identify resolutions.
• Monitoring screenings to respond or escalate in ''real time'' if any issues arise.
• Sharing troubleshooting tips and effective workarounds with team members.
• Communicating and documenting inappropriate behavior, operational, and staff issues to the manager.
• Completing a comprehensive written wrap report.
You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• 2 years project management, producing online events, or related experience.
• Strong project planning and problem solving abilities.
• Ability to manage a multi-department team to meet goals and deadlines.
• Working knowledge of Zoom and YouTube systems.
• Ability to mitigate conflict and facilitate positive relations under pressure.
• Outstanding interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule due to multiple shift rotations.
• Ability to maintain a suitable home work environment, free from noise and distractions.
• Previous work at home experience, including managing a remote team is a plus.
