Employment dates: Wednesday, November 2, 2020 thru Friday February 19, 2021
Pay rate: $21.24 per hour
Location: This position is based in NYC.
Considerations: Required to work extended hours, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet deadlines. Must be willing and available to respond to on-call needs as assigned.
Position Summary: Coordinates logistical duties to support the Press Office and media relations for Sundance Institute and its programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Monitors press coverage, entering coverage in database, and creates high quality press coverage reports.
• Leads gathering, tracking, and reporting of artist and press demographic data, researching and verifying data as needed.Provides customized reports on statistics, facts and figures to departments as requested.
• Responsible for the Festival-at-a-Glance one-sheet tracking statistics and data of the Festival.
• Creates a high-quality Sundance Film Festival clip book.
• Supports digital Festival events such as junkets and screenings.
• Supports Manager, Accreditation with vetting journalists applying for Festival accreditation.
• Writes a comprehensive wrap report as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• 2 years experience in media relations, marketing or related.
• Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written.
• Strong interpersonal and professional skills required to work effectively with a variety of people.
• Detail oriented, able to audit work to avoid mistakes, and perform tasks accurately.
• Excellent organizational skills including self management of work schedule.
• Fluent with calculating basic statistics.
• Must be able to maintain confidential information.
• Ability to work nights and weekends around events and key deadlines.
Preferred Education
, Experience and Skills:
• Strong fluency and capability with Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of databases along with proficiency in Google Products.
• Bachelor's degree in Communications.
• Experience in statistical analysis preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of the media tracking platform Cision.
