POSITION OVERVIEW
The Financial Planning & Analysis is charged with supporting the Senior Financial Planning Analyst and department budget managers in all aspects of budget management, grant proposals and reporting, and financial planning.
Working closely under the direction of the Senior Financial Planning Analyst, the Financial Analyst supports Institute staff in budgeting, tracking, and forecasting operating expenses.
This full-time position may work remotely from within any of our operating states. Extended hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends will be required at key points throughout the year. Travel to other Institute offices and events may be required on occasion.
Top priorities include but are not limited to?
• Performing monthly expense budget management functions, including reviewing and approving Concur expense reports, Visa Intellilink Credit Card Expenses, and Accounts Payable transactions as assigned.
• Creating monthly reclass journal entries.
• Reviewing monthly actuals/forecasting for accuracy in Adaptive.
• Conducting expense budget training for all new budget managers, acting as a point of contact to answer questions and conduct ongoing training as necessary.
• Reconciling the Grant Tracker monthly.
• Managing in-kind contributed revenue including year-end reporting.
• Functioning as a Finance lead on assigned grant proposals and reporting.
• Scheduling and actively participating in Profit and Loss (P&L) Deep Dive meetings.
• Supporting the annual budgeting process.
• Performing ad hoc modeling/analysis as needed.
• Executing monthly close duties.
• Providing support to the Coordinator, Finance in Accounts Payable (AP) prep as needed.
• Tracking United/Hyatt points monthly.
• Managing Festival Charge Accounts.
• Reviewing all insurance bill coding for accuracy.
• Managing the Sundance Film Festival Lodging/Vehicle charge out process.
You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:
• 3 years directly related experience.
• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to audit work to avoid mistakes and perform tasks accurately.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google products.
• Effective communications and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to collaborate, work in a team environment, and train others on procedures.
• Proven organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Working knowledge of NetSuite and Workday Adaptive Planning budget software preferred.
• Experience building and tracking grant budgets is a plus.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

*Final rate of pay is determined based on the applicant's geographic location, relevant experience and skills, and internal equity among similar positions within our organization.
