POSITION OVERVIEW
The Festival Coordinator, Sundance Industry Office (SIO) maintains data related to the Festival registration process for industry members and facilitates their participation in both online and in-person components of the Sundance Film Festival. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills.
Working under the direction of the Assistant Director, Industry Relations, the Registration Coordinator will also provide administrative and operational support to the department and customer support to industry members.
This temporary position works 32 to 40 hours per week from Wednesday, October 9, 2024, through Friday, February 14, 2025. Extended hours, including evenings and weekends to meet key deadlines and respond to on-call needs, may be required at critical points. Full-time availability will be required during the Sundance Film Festival. Remote work is possible leading up to the Festival, but the position must be based within a commutable distance to Park City, UT, to work onsite in a hybrid capacity.
Top priorities include, but are not limited to...
• Maintaining data in SIO's internal registration system and ticketing platform.
• Managing registration information in Airtable and Google Sheets.
• Facilitating the Festival registration process for industry members.
• Troubleshooting registration issues and collaborating with other departments when needed.
• Assisting with cross-training employees and volunteers on department workflows.
• Supporting sales agent registration and ticketing.
• Assisting with research projects related to membership and departmental functions.
• Handling external correspondence and responding to a high volume of email promptly.
• Managing distribution of documents and information to internal departments.
• Maintaining and updating SIO member resources.
• Auditing physical passes for onsite distribution.
• Providing customer support during the Festival, both online and in-person.
• Running Press and Industry screening reports for sales agents.
• Finalizing registration data and metrics after the Festival.
• Completing a comprehensive written wrap report.
You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• 2 years of operational, administrative, and customer support experience.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain discretion and handle confidential information.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and contacts.
• Proficiency in Google Products.
• Knowledge of databases, Airtable, and advanced Excel functionality preferred.
• Working knowledge of ActiveCampaign or other email marketing software is a plus.
• Knowledge of the independent film industry is preferred.
