Employment Dates:
We will have 2 openings for this position. One of them starts on October 1, 2018, until February 13, 2019, and the other one will start on November 5, until February 13, 2019.
Considerations: This position works full time in our Park City, UT office. May be lodged in Park City during the January Film Festival. Required to work extended hours, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet deadlines. Must be willing and available to respond to on-call needs as assigned.
Position Summary: Coordinates administrative and logistical duties to process assigned accreditation of publicists, crew, or the media to the Festival
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintains accurate and complete information for all accreditation applicants in database, includes electronically archiving press coverage and a hard copy file system.
• Working closely with Technology Services, updates the online press application as needed and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Processes accreditation applications, make recommendations and leads application review meetings.
• Submits credential information and work with ticketing staff to ensure press credentials are completed by deadline.
• Is main point of contact for journalists and publicists regarding questions, concerns, and to provide timely correspondence regarding their application status.
• Maintains system for credentialing publicists and camera crews pre-festival and on-site.
• Runs various reports and delivers reports to internal departments as requested.
• Trains department on press credentialing and how to enter new media contacts in the database.
• Processes preselected tickets for journalists and maintains RSVP for select screenings.
• Prepares and conducts at-Fest Check-in, includes pre-festival planning, on-site facilitation, coordinating volunteers, ticketing, parking, etc.
• Acts as a central point of communication for crews filming in official venues.
• Collects RSVP invites for press to attend Festival events.
• Distributes P&I attendance sheets to publicists.
• Assists with after hour screenings and events as assigned.
• Works press lines during the Festival as directed.
• Provides a comprehensive written wrap report as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• 2 years experience in media relations, marketing or related.
• Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written.
• Strong interpersonal and professional skills required to work effectively with a variety of people.
• Excellent organizational skills including self management of work schedule.
• Must be able to maintain confidential information.
• Ability to work nights and weekends around events and key deadlines.
• Detail oriented, able to audit work to avoid mistakes, and perform tasks accurately.
Preferred Education
, Experience and Skills:
• Working knowledge of databases along with proficiency in Google Products.
• Bachelor's degree in Communications.
• Working knowledge of the media tracking platform Cision.
