POSITION OVERVIEW
The Festival Coordinator, Health Safety assists the Health Safety Department in all COVID-19 compliance efforts to ensure the health and wellness of our community during the 2023 Sundance Film Festival.
Working closely under the direction of the Health Safety Manager, the Festival Coordinator role focuses on general support of the Health Safety Department including interdepartmental communication, timeline tracking and assistance with training and policy development. The Coordinator will also work closely with the Associate Manager, Health Safety on protocol around employee and volunteer health and wellness.
This temporary position works full time from Wednesday, October 26, 2022 through Friday, February 10, 2023 and will be required to work extended hours, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet key deadlines and respond to on-call needs as assigned. This position is based out of our Park City, Utah office and will be expected to perform onsite work duties as of Monday, December 5, 2022. Employees may start in a commutable distance to Park City, UT or remotely from a state we currently legally operate in, until the required onsite work date listed above.
Top priorities include but are not limited to…
• Participating in and recording all Health Safety team meetings including weekly Health Safety Department and Committee meetings, Policy team meetings, and any additional health safety or Festival meetings.
• Assisting with creating trainings for Health Safety Leads, Health Safety Compliance Officers and Health Safety Quarantine team.
• Using the Monday.com task list to ensure department goals are met and the team is meeting timelines.
• Writing a comprehensive wrap report.
• Completing miscellaneous health safety projects, as directed.
• Standing in on specific duties for both the Health Safety Manager and Associate Manager, Health Safety should they be unable to work.
• Maintaining daily health screenings for employees and volunteers using PandemSafe, our workplace safety management platform.
• Assisting the Health Safety Manager with all communications and information sharing related to Festival Health Safety.
• Assisting Associate Manager, Health Safety in disseminating timely information around policy changes, training requirements, and any other updates related to health safety, to all employees and volunteers.
• Monitoring the team email inbox, responding to policy questions, and bringing concerns to the Health Safety team.
• Assisting with creation and distribution of any health and safety trainings.
• Supporting the Associate Manager, Health Safety in executing internal protocols related to COVID-19 exposures including providing affected individuals clear directions regarding quarantining and testing.
• Understanding and if needed, supporting with implementing health safety contingency plans.
• Overseeing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) inventory and distribution prior to, during, and immediately after the Festival.
• Supporting daily tracking of data on Health platform during the Festival.
• Managing the internal COVID-19 testing program for employees and volunteers prior to the start of the Festival.
You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Valid driver's license and successful completion of DMV background check.
• 2 years experience in working in employee health, safety, or public health programs, internal communications, employee advocacy, or related.
• Strong written and interpersonal skills to build relationships with employees at all levels while working across the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguity – dealing with issues that do not always have a process or a system in place.
• Demonstrated experience and ability to balance business partnering skills with employee advocacy.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks while working remotely and or in-person.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
You will be successful in this role if you...
• Organize, prioritize, and manage the team task list.
• Understand COVID-19 data, transmission rates, case counts etc.
• Create an inventory and distribution system for all Health Safety PPE supplies.
• Monitor team emails and effectively answer policy questions from those who test positive for COVID-19 or are exposed to some with COVID-19.
• Connect with employees and volunteers to gather feedback, concerns, suggestions on health and safety issues providing updates to Health Safety and HR Teams.
