Considerations: This position works full time out of our Park City, UT office. Additionally, role is lodged in Park City during the January Film Festival (lodging requirement determined annually). Position is also required to work extended hours (evenings, weekends, some holidays) during key points and must be willing and available to respond to on-call needs as assigned. A high level of mobility is required as well as an ability to drive safely in winter road conditions.
Position Summary: Performs administrative and logistical duties to coordinate planning and execution of community outreach programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Researches and identifies local issue-based organizations, community groups and stakeholders to participate in Community Outreach programs.
• Provides ongoing communication for groups participating in programs.
• Maintains Utah Community contacts database with accurate and up-to-date information.
• Acts as a representative for the program to internal and external partners and responds to inquiries.
• Coordinates Community Outreach ticket requests with Ticketing Department.
• Provides onsite execution and support to program screenings while working with Theatre Operations to ensure screenings are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
• With Assistant Director, views films to ensure content and subject matter is appropriate for student and community audiences and assists with program film selection.
• Assists with slotting and scheduling films for Community Outreach screenings.
• Drafts program correspondence and materials, including program schedules, cover letters, activation exercises, film descriptions, content notes and program evaluations.
• Works with the Volunteer Department to request and direct program volunteers.
• Coordinates with the Film Office Department to ensure filmmakers or a film representative is scheduled to be present and participate in each screening.
• Collects program statistics and materials for grant reporting.
• Completes a comprehensive wrap-report as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Valid driver's license and successful completion of DMV background check.
• 2 years experience in community outreach or related.
• Strong leadership skills with a background that includes demonstrated excellence in managing relationships.
• Working knowledge of databases along with proficiency in Microsoft and Google Products.
• Outstanding communication skills, telephone, written and interpersonal skills required to work effectively with a wide variety of people.
• Excellent organizational skills including self management of work schedule ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong conflict management skills.
• Must be able to maintain confidential information.
• Ability to work nights and weekends around events and key deadlines and events.
Preferred Education
, Experience and Skills:
• Knowledge of Utah nonprofit organizations highly preferred.
