Festival Digital Operations Coordinator - Careers At Sundance Institute
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Festival Digital Operations Coordinator will provide remote support to the Sundance Digital Operations team.
This temporary position works a variable hour schedule of 20-32 hours per week from Monday, December 1, 2025 through Tuesday, February 3, 2026 and will be required to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet key deadlines and respond to on-call needs as assigned. An ability to work flexible hours will be required which can include extended hours, evening, early morning, and weekends to meet shift needs. This includes full day availability during the Film Festival (Thursday, January 22, 2026 through Sunday, February 1, 2025). Reliable, high-speed internet connection with at least 10 mbps download speed. A laptop computer will be provided and will be required to be returned at the end of the seasonal employment dates. This is a fully remote position that does not require any onsite work duties.
Top priorities include but are not limited to?
• Assisting the Digital Ops team with entering film and screening data into the Content Management System (CMS).
• Supporting the process to begin and maintain quality assurance (QA) of the product rules in the Eventive platform, as well as film and screening data in the CMS.
• Supporting the process to configure the Jury site so Jury members can watch films in their assigned award category.
• Supporting the online film QA process, working with the Digital Ops team and the volunteers who will perform the QA to ensure all films are assigned, have been watched and signed off on, and reassigning films as needed.
• Assisting in creating documentation where needed, including updating the CMS User Guide, documenting the steps for uploading film and screening data into the CMS, documenting the steps for product setup in Eventive, etc.
• Assisting the Manager, Digital in adhering to deadlines and key dates.
• During the Festival, working alongside the Digital Ops team to provide support to the Sundance Tech teams, Eventive teams, Customer Support team, and Ticketing team. This includes helping to resolve issues that arise with site functionality and performance, editing product rules if products are not working as expected, editing data about film screenings in the CMS or Eventive, etc.
• Confirming the update of post-festival contact information on film detail pages.
• Completing a comprehensive written wrap report, as directed.
You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• 1-2 years of project coordination experience.
• Ability to type 30 words per minute (WPM).
• Working knowledge of media streaming platforms, i.e. YouTube.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace, Zoom, and Slack.
• Outstanding interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule due to multiple shift rotations as needed.
• Ability to maintain a suitable home work environment, free from noise/distractions.
