Duration: 5/15/19 to 8/30/19
Considerations: This position works an average of 30 hours per week in our Park City UT office. Position will have flexible hours outside of scheduled programs. Evening and weekend hours will be required at key points throughout the summer. A valid driver's license, and driver status approval through our liability insurance, and reliable transportation will be required to fulfil this position's job duties.
Position Summary: Coordinates planning for onsite execution of events and facilitates communications for our Utah community programs including the Summer Film Series and new year-round initiatives as they arise.
Essential Job Functions and Duties:
• Acts as the program's point of contact with external organizations to facilitate special programming in conjunction with the Summer Film Series screenings.
• Provides on-site operational support and execution during events including set up, tear down, introductions, raffles, and coordinating details with filmmakers.
• Prepares materials needed on-site for events including introduction scripts and run of shows.
• Creates and edits as necessary, event e-blasts and website copy.
• Collates and processes invoices for department expenses following Finance procedures.
• Books travel and communicates details of travel to program staff and filmmakers.
• Completes narrative and quantitative event reporting as directed.
• Tracks attendance metrics.
• Conducts targeted outreach to artists, audiences, and organizations from underrepresented and diverse communities to engage them in local activities.
• Communicates with organizations we partner with for Summer Film Series, and adds new, updates and maintains community organizations contact information in database to ensure accurate info.
• Acts as a representative for the program to internal and external partners and responds to program inquiries within 24 hours.
• Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Valid driver's license and successful completion of DMV background check.
• 2 years experience working in community outreach programs or related.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording, tracking, and issuing information.
• Strong interpersonal and professional skills required to work effectively with a variety of people.
• Excellent organizational skills including self management of priorities and work schedule.
• Ability and ease with public speakin g.
• Must be able to maintain confidential information.
• Ability to work nights and weekends around events and key deadlines.
Preferred Education
, Experience and Skills:
• Working knowledge of databases along with proficiency in Google Products.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Utah community and nonprofit organizations.
