POSITION OVERVIEW
The Coordinator, Feature Film Program is charged with providing administrative and logistical coordination to the Founding Senior Director and Feature Film Program (FFP) Department.
Working closely under the direction of Founding Senior Director, Artist Programs, the Coordinator will manage the overall flow of information and requests for the Founding Director including scheduling calendars, meeting preparation, and facilitating communications. Preference will be given to candidates who are based out of Los Angeles, CA in order to work 1-2 days per week in-office. This is a full time position which will be required to work extended hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays at several key points during the year. Travel to the Screenwriters and Directors Labs in Utah will be required.
Top priorities include but are not limited to…
• Providing administrative support to the Founding Director including phone and email correspondence, arranging travel, processing expense reports, and drafting presentations and recommendation letters.
• Assisting the Founding Director on a daily basis during the Festival, including managing their daily calendar, coordinating attendance at events, preparing them for speaking engagements, and coordinating filmmaker meetings.
• Providing organizational support to the Founding Director and Deputy Director with cross-programmatic initiatives, including the Artist Program Group (APG).
• Supporting administrative functions for the FFP department including coordinating, scheduling, tracking, and taking notes for meetings and FFP events.
• Providing administrative support to the Founding Director to advance the work of the APG Leadership Group including scheduling meetings, taking and summarizing notes from meetings, creating agendas, and conducting follow up.
• Coordinating prep work leading up to the Screenwriters and Directors Labs, including slotting fellows and advisors into a database, distributing scripts and additional materials to the team, updating project grids, and organizing and tracking clips and films for all Lab screenings.
• Coordinating onsite program activity for the Screenwriters and Directors Labs including generating and distributing daily schedules, and production-related materials.
• Planning and coordinating onsite logistics and communications with internal departments and external participants for Screenwriters and Directors Labs.
• Collecting, editing, and circulating creative advisor bios and other information for Lab participants, ensuring that each Lab Book is created prior to its deadline.
• Facilitating outreach, submission intake and tracking, and the interview process for the Sally Menke Memorial Editing Fellowship.
• Supporting the Assistant Director, International, on communication with and assignments for readers of international submissions for the Development Track.
• Participating and contributing as assigned to the outreach and selection processes for department programs including recommending artists, reading and watching submissions, and participating in selection meetings.
• Contributing to the continuum of support for FFP fellows and alumni.
You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• 2 years administrative support, project coordination, or similar experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording, tracking, and issuing information.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with a variety of people.
• Proficiency in Google Products.
• Excellent organizational skills including self-management of work schedule and the ability to prioritize.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Strong interest in and knowledge of independent film preferred.
• Working knowledge of databases preferred.

• Provide strong organizational and administrative support to prep and implement the Labs working closely with the Founding Director and Deputy Director.
• Participate in the outreach and selection process when time allows.
• Support the Deputy Director for a successful outreach, review and final selection process.
• Prioritize and keep track of schedules and pending tasks.
• The APG Leadership group is tracking and following up on key decisions and tasks.
