POSITION OVERVIEW
The Coordinator, Content is charged with supporting in-house video and photo production to document summer labs and programs, and archiving and collecting audio visual materials for the Sundance Institute.
Working closely under the direction of the Creative Producer, the Coordinator, Content supports Sundance Institute's marketing department's goal to promote, educate, and advance the work of Sundance artists and programs.
This full-time, temporary position will be based out of the greater Los Angeles, CA area from Monday, May 23, 2022 through Friday, August 5, 2022. Most of this position's work may be conducted remotely but this role will be required to support onsite as needed throughout the summer. Extended hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends will be required at key points throughout the duration of temporary employment. Travel to other Institute offices and events may be required.
Top priorities include but are not limited to…
• Supporting overall production of video and photo at a number of events and programs.
• Creating call sheets, coordinating production schedules, and anticipating the needs of several shoots at once.
• Working with the in-house editor to source creative references and archival resources.
• Ensuring assets and edits are delivered to spec and in a timely manner.
• Working with the Sundance archive team to file and organize captured content.
• Supporting Creative Producer and Creative Director in executing content strategy and production.
• Helping create and distribute photo and video briefs.
• Acting as the point of contact for photographers, videographers, and other contracted service providers to field questions and disseminate important information.
• Coordinating delivery of captured assets to editors and Archives.
• Assisting in production of interviews, photos, and behind the scenes capture.
• Coordinating with Labs managers to organize schedules, book interview locations, and assist content contractors on the ground.
• Helping shoot behind the scenes footage as needed.
• Organizing user-generated content (UGC) materials and supporting the Archival team to catalog and sort all materials captured.
• Gathering and organizing releases and contracts pertaining to materials usage.
• Supporting Content team in the planning process for the 2023 Sundance Film Festival.
• Scouting locations, conducting venue walkthroughs, and preparing and sourcing materials for shoots in the greater Los Angeles, CA area throughout the summer.
You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Valid driver's license and successful completion of DMV background check.
• 2 years experience in film, tv or video production, marketing, advertising, and/or creative production.
• Strong administrative skills including proficiency in Google Suite.
• Experience with editing software such as Adobe Premiere helpful but not required.
• Experience with videography and photography is helpful but not required.
• Experience sourcing and hiring photographers, designers, and videographers.
• Strong communication skills to work with a variety of people.
• Strong multitasking skills.

• Support production and delivery of a new suite of Institute video content including video and photoshoots in addition to labs and events.
• Work with the Content Editor to organize and strategize YouTube and catalog video assets from '18-'22.
• Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders of varying levels and positions
