POSITION OVERVIEW
The Manager, Collab Content & Operations is responsible for the daily execution and operational optimization of Sundance Collab's digital products. This role manages the technical workflows for both live and on-demand content, ensuring that all digital initiatives align with the Institute's strategic goals and meet performance metrics.
Working under the Associate Director, Collab, the Manager acts as a key liaison across Collab to support the team and its many contractors, to organize and support its content, and to ensure the seamless integration of technical requirements.
This full-time position is based within a commutable distance to Boulder, CO, Salt Lake City, UT, Los Angeles, CA, or New York, NY. The role requires flexibility, including extended hours, evenings, and weekends during peak periods, as well as travel to Institute locations, events, and meetings as needed.
Top priorities include but are not limited to:
• Managing operational workflows, institutional records and documentation for Sundance Collab while developing and continuously improving standard operating procedures (SOPs), templates and project management systems that support operational excellence and scalability.
• Leading operational planning and execution for Collab initiatives by coordinating cross-functional teams, managing timelines and ensuring projects are delivered successfully.
• Coordinating and providing direction for contractors, temporary staff, instructors, and vendors to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and consistently.
• Managing the operational delivery of digital programs (courses, events and challenges), ensuring projects are delivered on time, meet quality standards and that internal teams are trained on new processes and workflows.
• Tracking project performance and preparing operational reports to inform planning and continuous improvement.
• Managing the process for setting up instructor contracts and processing invoices for payment, ensuring all administrative back-end tasks are completed on time.
• Driving the implementation of scalable support systems, including automation and knowledge base development, to improve response efficiency.
• Supporting the platform's digital analytics strategy by tracking performance indicators and preparing operational dashboards and department updates.
• Partnering with cross-functional teams to support successful program launches, operational initiatives and continuous platform improvements.
You have the following direct or transferable qualifications and skills:
• 3 years of experience in digital operations, process review, or initiative execution.
• Ability to manage multiple large-scale digital projects simultaneously while holding others accountable.
• Proficiency with Google Suite, AirTable, Asana, Zoom, Stripe, Netsuite, and CRM/Support tools (e.g., ZohoDesk).
• Comfort facilitating training, creating documentation, and presenting to internal teams.
• A passion for independent storytelling and an understanding of the arts and culture nonprofit landscape.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
You will be successful in this role if you...
• Thrive on creating order from complexity by developing clear workflows, documenting repeatable processes, and building scalable systems that help teams work more efficiently.
• Think like a producer, naturally anticipating dependencies, sequencing work, and coordinating people, timelines, and deliverables to keep projects moving forward.
• Are adaptable and solutions oriented, able to pivot quickly, embrace change and confidently learn new tools, technologies, and processes as organizational needs evolve.
• Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams, translating ideas into actionable plans while keeping stakeholders informed and aligned.
• Balance strategic thinking with hands on execution, equally comfortable planning initiatives, improving operations and jumping in to solve day to day challenges.
• Are proactive and take ownership, identifying what needs to happen next, driving projects to completion and continuously looking for opportunities to improve how work gets done.
